Program Changes

There have been some minor changes from previous Global Care Packages projects:

Drawstring bags – all care packages will be packed into drawstring bags (provided by LHM) instead of boxes. The main reason for this is that the children that receive these care packages can reuse the bag as a school bag if they wish.

Lower contents costs – we have endeavored to reduce the cost of the contents to make the program more affordable to more potential participants. We ask that you do not hold back on the toys though. LHM will provide Gospel materials with the care packages when they are distributed.

No one distribution location decided ahead of time – in partnership with Orphan Grain Train LHM will now be sending the care packages to a variety of countries where LHM has ministry centers. In many cases the care packages will be included with other humanitarian aid provided by Orphan Grain Train. This allows LHM much greater flexibility to meet needs as and when they occur. It also allows us to share the care packages with a variety of countries each year. 

No deadlines – you can now participate in Global Care Packages any time of year. Because the packages are shipped throughout the year (as and when we have sufficient quantities) you can send them to the Orphan Grain Train warehouse any time throughout the year.

ANNUAL REPORTS will be provided in February each year and ongoing CURRENT reports will be provided through email and online throughout the year.
