What should we put into the bags?
Please check the Shopping List.

How many bags should we order?
Plan on one bag per person. If you order too few bags, please let us know as soon as possible. We will send out more as long as supplies last.

Do we have to send our money in with our registration or initial order?
No. The letter you receive with the drawstring bags will highlight the donation amount that LHM is asking for your help with. We ask for a contribution of $5 per individual bag and these funds go toward international freight and national shipping costs.

May we use bags other than those supplied by Lutheran Hour Ministries?
Please, no. Uniformly sized bags will help ensure the efficient loading and unloading of the ocean-going container, help our international partners store the supplies, and not cause major difficulties when we are importing these bags through various customs departments around the world.

What if we don’t have all of the items for the individual bag?
Please send only complete bags. Either purchase the missing items or find some other use for the partially filled bags. Uniformity of contents will help prevent problems when bags are distributed.

Where do we send the filled bags?
Bags can either be taken to a Collection Site or shipped to:

If necessary, ask your local congregation to help with these costs. Congregations are often willing to help.

What is the deadline for bags to be at Orphan Grain Train?
None. They can be shipped at any time throughout the year.
