Let Your Hearts Guide Your Hands
Global Care Packages provides your children and family with the valuable opportunity to be “doers of the word, not merely hearers”, to talk with their hands, to speak with their actions. How you go about conducting the project and assembling the bags of supplies for children will send messages surprisingly loud and clear. The care you show in selecting the items, your fidgeting and fussing, the prayers accompanying your activity—will send the messages of concern and compassion, generosity and joy.
- More than ever, make this a personal project.
- Help your children form as large a picture of children around the world and their circumstances.
- Form shopping expeditions; ask parents, relatives, and neighbors to take part. Do it for “service” reasons, not just financial reasons.
- Tilt towards generosity. Fill ten bags with quality items rather than 15 bags with less-than-quality items.
Let your hearts guide your hands.
